Men and women called to serve this congregation in the pulpit, in the office, and among the flock.
Simon serves as our Lead Pastor, answering God's call to shepherd this congregation in January 2026. Called to pastoral ministry in 2019 and ordained in 2021, Simon has years of faithful ministry experience serving in his hometown of Medina.
Raised in a Christian home as a pastor's kid, Simon came to saving faith at a young age. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2016) and a master's in Engineering Leadership (2019), both from The Ohio State University, and is a registered Professional Engineer. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Emmaus Theological Seminary in Cleveland Heights.
He and his wife Lauren, whom he met as teenagers at Medina High School, are grateful to be raising their four children in the community where they both grew up. When not studying, preaching, or serving the church, you can find him enjoying time with his family, reading, or writing.
As an elder-led congregation, the elders bear responsibility for the spiritual oversight and direction of the church. Simon Bartos, Josh Brown, Rob Saba, and Jon Sonnenberg serve as our elders, shepherding the congregation through teaching, prayer, and godly example.

"He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."Ephesians 4:11-12
The deacons and deaconesses of Medina Community Church are men and women who meet the biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3, called to serve the practical and physical needs of the congregation so that the elders may devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word.

Faithful shepherd of Medina Community Church for many years, now honored in retirement for his dedicated service to our congregation and community.
